Review: Flavanone Mud Mask | NIOD

Niod Flavanone Mud

May 11, 2020

First of all, let’s start this review by saying the Niod Flavanone Mud Mask is not for the fainthearted. And I know I’m not a dermatologist, but if you have any form of sensitivity, I would avoid this product.

The NIOD Flavanone Mud Mask is intense.

It’s important to note, that Niod claims that most mud masks you see on the market, do nothing in terms of longterm benefits for the skin. However, the Flavanone Mud Mask offers a deep congestion through three specific phases:

1. purifying, 2. protective, and 3. responsive

Firstly, let’s start with The purifying phase:
This stage is the most similar to your regular mud masks. Which includes a very high concentration of amazon clay helps remove surface impurities such as: excess sebum and product build-up.

Secondly, The protective phase:
According to Niod, this stage is the most powerful in terms of decongestion! The protective phase starts with Polynesian coral reefs help fight the build-up of pollution, whilst also acting as an external shield from damage. Whilst bisabolol, derived from Chamomile, reduces the appearance of inflammation, whilst protecting the skin against climate change.

Thirdly, The responsive phase:
High-purified flavanone from citrus peel helps detox the skin without disrupting the dermal pH levels.

Following on, Noid advice you that the mask is to be used once-a-week for 10 minutes, but there’s an option for you to do a ‘five-day acceleration’. In more detail, the five-day acceleration suggests using this mask for five days straight, leaving on for 10 minutes. Coupled with weekly applications, this route can leave you with incredible results. I recently completed the five-day acceleration, but I only opted for 5 minutes every day, as I wanted to avoid an increase in my skin’s sensitivity.

And don’t get me wrong, the results are truly spectacular.

However, I did notice that my skin had a slight breakout on day three; I had sore pimples on my temples, but they were gone by day five. Upon completion, I noticed my pores were less visible, I had fewer blackheads, and my skin was glowing.

In addition, the Flavanone Mud Mask is fragrance-free and free from essential oils! and ultimately, this mask is the mother of all masks, it really is!

But to conclude, If you’ve tried most of the masks on the market, and you want to take your masking to the next level then I would highly suggest this! But please remember, the mask is not for the fainthearted.
