The Dr.Jart+ ‘Shake + Shot’ Masks have been around for a few years now, and they’re still as popular as they were on the first release, if not more.
The Shake + Shot Rubber Masks have had a sudden resurgence since Gen-Z’ers have taken to TikTok to share their experience with it.
Firstly, let’s talk about the application. Although the DIY-mixologist application looks bizarre, the concept is pretty simple. You open The Shake + Shot mask (pull the baby’s head off), mix in packet 01 and packet 02, shake, and apply.
Did you know that “Rubber Masking” is a treatment huge in Korean spas, and Dr Jart is making it accessible to you for only £8!
In comparison, think your classic sheet mask, but 100 times more effective. The rubber application creates an evaporation-free seal on the skin, allowing it to fully absorb all the product’s nutrients.
Additionally, you can purchase four variations of the mask, all with a different purpose: hydrating, firming, brightening, or a soothing option.
So far, I’ve only tried the hydrating and firming one! With the firming mask being purchased four times.
The application can get pretty messy, but Dr Jart+ do gift you with a plastic spatular to ease application. The mask is a single-use product, but you could easily split it into two applications if you split the contents evenly.
Now, let’s talk results. Does this work?
Yes!
Dr.Jart+ claim the mask firms skin, and I do believe it works! Now, am I rushing out to purchase a new one every time? No. But usually, you can them in your local TK/TJ Maxx (Just be wary about products you purchase there).
They’re a super fun concept, and not to be taken too seriously! They’re the product you would use if your friend is staying over, and you want something fun to do. But not something you would build a whole routine around, well not for me at least.
